We never take these decisions lightly, but with humility.
StarLeaf has, like many other organisations, had to change and adapt over the last year, but where tough decisions have had to be made they have been carried out with respect and empathy. I recognise that we have work to do, and this year we have made efforts to listen more closely, offer more channels for our People to talk to us, and where needed take direct action. StarLeaf is striving to become even more inclusive and we are committed to developing an environment where everyone feels heard and valued.
It is a shame not to have had the opportunity to address your concerns whilst you were still with us. I will look carefully into your comments as StarLeaf very much values equality and diversity. It is not always easy to hear but we know that in order to get to where we want to be, that hard work is very necessary. I really appreciate your taking the time to leave us feedback and am truly sorry that your experience with StarLeaf was not what I would want. My advice would be to avoid at all costs especially if you are looking to join the sales & finance teams, there are numerous better established companies out there and it’s not worth the headache. StarLeaf has taught me everything I do not want from a future employer and if your a woman- true progression is a bleak prospect. Do not join if you are looking for a job with any type of security and depending on the team you join - you may face micro aggressions as an ethnic minority. They waste money needlessly and then lay people off each year in nonchalant and inhumane manner. They excuse their failings as due to being a startup even though this company has been around for over a decade and it is just down to poor management decisions. They do not have a consistent strategy and they are forever changing direction haphazardly. But it wasn’t long before I saw it was all a facade.
Everyone seemed really warm and welcoming and it seemed almost like a family. When I first joined I was really excited and happy to join the StarLeaf team.
